Kazakhstan, Russia and UAE considering joint projects in the space industry

Dubai (UAE) within the framework of the 15th International Air Show “Dubai Air Show – 2017” an official trilateral meeting was held with the participation of First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for President Affairs of the UAE Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Rogozin.

The parties discussed the possibility of developing joint investment projects in the space sector using high-tech innovative developments.
The UAE familiarized with the current state of activity of the Baikonur cosmodrome and the prospects for its further development.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mansour was interested in discussing the UAE in the joint Russian-Kazakh project Baiterek.
In order to develop a further partnership and coordinate their activities the sides agreed to establish a tripartite working group for joint projects in the space industry.
